TRAVEX 2006

The Event
TRAVEX (Travel Exchange), the main event in ATF, is a trade-only mart designed to offer opportunities for suppliers of ASEAN travel products to meet selected buyers from around the world through scheduled appointments. It is also an ideal forum for buyers to gather the latest information on ASEAN tourism products and services, establish new business contacts and learn about tourism trends in the region.

TRAVEX Update
Registrations for TRAVEX 2006 have been pouring in since the official ATF 2006 website, www.atfdavao.com, went online on 15 September 2005.

In just three weeks, 244 sellers, 223 buyers and 55 media practitioners have registered at the official ATF 2006 website, www.atfdavao.com

Of the 244 booths sold as at 5 October 2005, 92 are from Thailand, 49 from Singapore, 41 from Malaysia, 25 from Indonesia, 16 from the Philippines, nine from Vietnam, five from Brunei,
three from Cambodia and four from Myanmar.

Of the registered buyers, it is as follows: five from Australia, 74 from Asia, 75 from UK/Europe, three from eastern Europe, 21 from USA/Canada, two from South America, one from Japan, 18 from India/Pakistan, two from China,
five from South Korea, one from Egypt, three from Saudi Arabia, six from UAE, four from Russia, two from South Africa and one from Turkey.

Organised by TTG Asia Media, TRAVEX 2006 is expected to draw over 800 seller delegates from the ASEAN region and 430 specialists from key markets as buyers and media.

TRAVEX 2006 will be held from 18 to 20 January 2006 at the NCCC Exhibition Centre, approximately four kilometres from the Central Business District of Davao City. The 4,500sqm exhibition hall, the largest in Davao City, is being renovated and refurbished to accommodate over 400 booths of 3m x 2m each.
